Statement from Shadow Health Minister John Paul Langbroek

13 Nov 2017 11:48 PMJohn-Paul Langbroek

Under do-nothing Labor, category 3 elective surgery waiting times have blown out from 156 days to 211 days in the last 12 months.

We have an ambulance ramping crisis with a third of all patients being ramped on the back of stretchers waiting for longer than 30 minutes to get into an emergency department.

Under do-nothing Labor, our hospitals are suffering significant bed block with almost half of all patients left waiting more than four hours to get out of the ED and into a hospital bed.

That’s the record of this do-nothing Labor Government on health care for Queenslanders.

By contrast, the LNP boosted the health budget by $2 billion over our term of government.

Queenslanders can’t afford another three years of Labor’s bungled management of our health system.
