About John-Paul

JP Langbroek is a proud Gold Coast local, father of three and husband of Stacey. He was elected as the Member for Surfers Paradise in 2004, and currently serves as the Shadow Minister for Seniors, Communities and Disability Services, Multiculturalism and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships for the LNP.

JP was also the Education Minister in the former LNP Government prior to the 2015 election and is a former leader of the opposition.

JP is the son of a former school principal and teacher, and is a proud product of the State Education system. JP is unashamedly pro-jobs, and entered politics to ensure that Gold Coasters were heard loud and clear in Parliament.

Before entering politics, JP was a dentist who ran his own practice in Surfers Paradise and Ashmore. JP is a Titans' supporter, Gold Coast Suns' fan, and loves Instagramming photos of his electorate and his travels around Queensland.
